
51°µÍø and the Maine Transfer Guarantee Program
The Maine Transfer Guarantee is a transfer partnership between the Maine Community College System and the University of New England. The program ensures that eligible students have guaranteed admission to 51°µÍø and are able to transfer seamlessly.
Requirements
To qualify for the Maine Transfer Guarantee, you must have:
- Completed associate degree from a Maine community college
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Eligible Programs
These programs are eligible for the Maine Transfer Guarantee program:
- English
- History
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology
Please note the Maine Transfer Guarantee does not apply to all programs. Transfer students are eligible to enroll in most bachelor’s degree programs at 51°µÍø but must meet additional requirements. Apply
Transfer students eligible for the Maine Transfer Guarantee program should submit the following:

- Official transcripts from each college or university you have attended
Benefits of the Maine Transfer Guarantee
- No application fee. When completing your 51°µÍø application, enter the fee waiver code Maine Transfer Guarantee.
- Guaranteed admission with a 3.0 GPA.
- Guaranteed block transfer of all associate degree credits you have earned.
- Automatic third-year standing when you enroll at 51°µÍø.
- Renewable merit scholarships for up to six semesters.
Financial Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first and most important step in applying for financial aid and should be completed as soon as possible. 51°µÍøâ€™s Institution Code is 002050.
