We now have our cows in their new facility.
We are in the process of "finally" building one of the barns needed for an expansion and hopefully up to 300 more gallons of milk per week! We are excited about the ability to keep our cows more comfortable (each having their own bed), and with that we are currently milking more cows than ever before!!! This news is a positive note for our customers who will be able to find more milk on the shelves in the store! Although this may not fix our ever emptying shelf issue completely, we hope this will boost our ability to do a better job of keeping up with our tremendous demand. We would love to take this opportunity to heartfully thank all of our loyal customers for their support and word of mouth advertising that has kept our demand growing!! Together we make an awesome team and we could not do it without you.
Once again we are having difficulty keeping up with the high demand; and keeping milk on the shelves in our stores is a true challenge, especially in the fall months. We are having new calves born every week which brings our girls in fresh and adds to our quantity of fresh milk. Feel free to come out and see the new babies we have in the nursery! Spokane's Family farm would like to thank you all for your patience as we gradually grow our family herd...you are the best!!!
After much deliberation, thought and more than 3 successful years at Spokane's Family Farm, Mike and Trish have decided to sell the farm. For nearly 4 years Mike and Trish have put every last ounce of their energy into carving out the niche for local dairy products, educating the public and making Spokane's Family Farm a household name in our community! Now that the market has been developed, with the most solid and loyal customer base ever, we need to expand in order to just keep up with the overwhelming demand. It has become increasingly apparent that the demand is growing not only for Spokane's Family Farm whole milk, but also the obvious potential for other value added products. Although this is a very good sign for any successful business, Mike has not left the farm in 3 years and has a personality that will not allow him to delegate enough duties to allow him to have a life outside of the business. As most of you already know our little family has also grow in the last 4 years with the addition of 3 more children, bringing our total to 8! Spokane's Family Farm, with its educated and nutrition minded families and folks who understand the importance of buying local, is ready for the next step to accommodate the exploding growth. Spokane's Family Farm is busting at the seams and is in dire need of a manager/ owner type person as well as many more trained staff members to carry the expanding growth into the next phase. The farm's potential has out grown the owner operator stage, and Mike and Trish would like to be able to have more time for each other and their growing family. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right family/businessmen. In order to continue to make Spokane's Family Farm the success it has become and to grow it to its potential, any interested parties must have similar, ethics, and practices.
