Porpoise release garners media coverage

and the Journal Tribune on June 30th and The Portland Press Herald and (Waterville) on July 1 reported on the 51 Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center's release of a rehabilitated harbor porpoise June 30. 2010. “She had a moment of hesitation when she hit the water, kind of stopped, then took off like an arrow in three feet of water,” said Keith Matassa, MARC coordinator. The porpoise was fitted with a satellite tag to track her movements for the next six months.  More information on the porpoise release.
