Media covers 51°µÍø-MARC’s release of shark-bitten seal pup, Charleston Chew

Local broadcast and print media covered the release of eight-month-old seal pup Charleston Chew on January 24, 2014, after five months of rehabilitation at 51°µÍøâ€™s Marine Animal Rehabilitation and Conservation (MARC) program.

WCSH Channel 6 reported live from the MARC facility several times on the morning of the release, broadcasting footage of the seal eating her last meal at MARC and airing interviews with Shannon Prendiville, senior animal care technician.
