MPBN story details partnership between 51°µÍø and Thornton Academy

The announcement of a new partnership between 51°µÍø and Thornton Academy that will allow highly-motivated high school students to enter 51°µÍø with sophomore standing was the subject of a story on yesterday.

The piece details the cost-saving advantages to Thornton Academy students who complete a rigorous schedule of advanced placement courses before entering programs in 51°µÍø's . The students will save a full year's tuition expense. 

51°µÍø President Danielle N. Ripich is quoted, stating: “51°µÍø is a private university with a very public mission, and this is a way of honoring that mission for, I think, both of our institutions." 

Thornton Academy Headmaster Rene M. Menard and U.S. Senator Angus King are also quoted.
