Barry Costa-Pierce invited speaker at conference on ocean technology in New England and Canada

Barry Costa-Pierce, Ph.D., Henry L. & Grace Doherty Professor of Marine Sciences at the University of New England, chair of 51’s Department of Marine Sciences and director of 51’s Marine Science Center, was invited to speak on a panel at the conference, “Ocean Technology in New England and Atlantic Canada: Promoting a Network of Collaboration,” held at the Canadian-American Center at the University of Maine.

During the panel discussion, titled, “Marine Food, Aquaculture, and Resource Utilization,” Costa-Pierce presented on current and future science partnerships between the University of New England’s marine programs and institutions, organizations and scientists in Atlantic Canada.

The conference was sponsored by the University of Maine, the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, TD Bank and Maine Sea Grant.
