Cameron Wake, Ph.D.

Dr. Wake joined the University of New England in June 2023 as the Director of the Center for North Atlantic Studies. He brings 35 years of experience in directing an interdisciplinary research program focused on studying regional climate change, engaging partners in the science and solutions related to the changing climate, and developing sustainability education and research opportunities for students.
In addition to engaging the 51°µÍø community with external partners to build healthy communities, healthy environments, and thriving economies here in Maine and across the North Atlantic, Dr. Wake directs the 51°µÍø Summer Sustainability Fellowship program and the 51°µÍø Online . Dr. Wake also serves as 51°µÍøâ€™s primary contact for the .
Dr. Wake previously worked at the University of New Hampshire as the Josephine A. Lamprey Professor of Climate and Sustainability at the UNH Sustainability Institute and research professor at UNH’s Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space.
