Joel has worked at 51°µÍø since March of 1998, first in the COM Curriculum Office and then in Graduate and Professional Student Affairs since August of 2002.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Southern Maine.  Before coming to 51°µÍø, he worked for the Jewish Community Center and Jewish Federation of Southern Maine (now known as the Jewish Community Alliance).  He is a landlord in the Portland area and current president of the Riverton Community Association.
