51°µÍø strongly encourages you to take advantage of internship opportunities. I’ve had several throughout my time here, each offering unique experiences. The faculty at 51°µÍø truly act as mentors throughout our internship experiences.

I love travel, and history is a big part of that. Both History and Global Studies are strong programs here, and I like the broadness of studying the humanities. I study History and Political Science of course, but I also study international relations, anthropology, cultural studies, and more. It is all interconnected.

I’ve gotten to know all of my professors really well. I get a lot of one-on-one and face-to-face time with my professors and my peers. The personal attention makes a huge difference. I get access to a lot of amazing opportunities.

I’ve been involved with ceramics in the art department since I got to 51°µÍø. I love it.

When I discovered the University of New England, I felt the size of the school would be perfect for me...I was also attracted to 51°µÍø’s Global Education program. Spending a semester in Morocco was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

My English professors challenged me to back up my arguments, sharpening my research and writing skills, and gave me the space to safely experiment with both formal and colloquial forms of communication.
